  1. Order Conditions

  (1) The buyer specifies the technical requirements of the forgings required in the order contract.

  (2) Forging shall be manufactured according to the pattern provided by the demander.

  2. Manufacturing requirements

  (1) Alkaline electric furnace vacuum degassing and vacuum carbon deoxidization as well as other smelting methods agreed by the buyer shall be used for forging steel.

  (2) There should be enough removal at both ends of the ingot to ensure that there are no shrinkage holes and serious segregation in the forgings.

  (3) Forging requirements

  1) Forging materials shall have a certificate of inspection, and if substitute materials are required, the consent of the buyer and written documents shall be obtained.

  2) The forgings should be forged on a hydraulic press or hammer with enough tonnage. The forging should have enough forging ratio so that the whole section can be forged through to obtain uniform structure. The axes of the forgings shall be equivalent to the centerline of the ingot.

  3) Forgings shall be forged from ingots or billets. Forging with multiple rulers is allowed, and separation heat treatment is generally required.

  (4) Heat treatment and mechanical processing requirements

  1) Post-forging heat treatment: Preparatory heat treatment should be carried out after forging to improve the structure and machinability of forgings.

  2) Roughening: The forgings should be roughed before heat treatment, leaving the minimum processing allowance.

  3) Performance heat treatment: Forging should be quenched and tempered to meet the required performance.

  4) Machining after heat treatment of properties: After qualified mechanical properties, forgings are processed to the dimensions and surface roughness specified in the drawings provided by the buyer. However, if the cutting amount of any surface exceeds 5 mm, the forging must be treated with stress relief.

  5) Stress relief treatment: the temperature of stress relief of forgings should be lower than the final tempering temperature of 30 C. After heat preservation, the forgings should be cooled slowly. If the stress removal temperature is not lower than the final tempering temperature of 30 degrees, the mechanical properties of the forgings should be re-tested after the stress removal.
